About Sitges

Sitges has always been a place that has enamored artists and visitors. For the majority, the secret is its special light and almost 300 sunny days a year, as noted by painters, sculptors and writers who, at the end of the 19th century, settled here.

Sitges has the privilege of being located next to the Mediterranean Sea and at the base of the Garraf massif. At the cultural level, the legacy is extraordinary, art is alive and traditions are maintained with modernity. Sitges has preserved important references of the old fishing village and offers visitors an important architectural heritage. In addition, it enjoys a cosmopolitan character, thanks to the heterogeneity of its population, where more than 70 different nationalities coexist.
Sitges has 17 beaches. Each one has its own personality and the necessary services to offer all the comforts. There are small and quiet coves, very familiar wide beaches of fine sand, or beaches located in the center. Sitges also has three harbours: Aiguadolç, Garraf and Port Ginesta.
